At Abbeyards we are passionate animal lovers, dedicated to caring for your pet to the same high standard provided in your own home. Our Gold Coast pet accommodation is available all year round and when your pet stays with us you will have peace-of-mind knowing that our kennels & cattery are completely climate controlled, sound proof, have nightlights & calming music playing around the clock. Therefore, we pride ourselves on being able to offer premium facilities at a very affordable rate.
Abbeyards is set amongst 3 acres of relaxing Gold Coast Hinterlands. We are located at 6 John Rogers road, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213, just off Gold Coast Springbrook Rd. If you turn left at the big green sign (coming north bound) you'll find us We want you to be comfortable knowing that your furry friend is getting the best possible care so please drop in during inspection hours and have a chat to Bailee, Amber, Emily & the team. It’s Play time!
We understand playtime and outdoor time is very important for your pets enrichment and comfort. This is why we have purpose built, fully fenced yard areas for your dog to play in. All of our guests come outside for playtime and to enjoy the fresh hinterland air for at least 1 hour per day. Our staff are happy to meet the individual needs of your dog – whether that be extra cuddles or extra ball time! Feel free to let us know what your pet prefers at the desk.
Small Breeds
With our smaller breeds, we socialise them in small groups of 3-5 for playtime. Our experienced staff ensure the safety of your fur baby by matching them with others of a similar temperament and behaviour (ie. Senior pets will be put into a more relaxed group and puppies in a more playful group). We also know some guests prefer to be on their own and we are always happy to provide individual playtime, also.
Large Breeds
All of our large breed dogs come outside individually and multiple times per day for toileting and play. Their yard spaces are sand-based, each with a partially roofed area to enjoy the shade on those extra hot days. We also have lots of toys available for use and to give them the exercise they need after lazing in the air-conditioning.

Temperature Controlled
All of our kennels are air-conditioned and kept at a constant 24 degrees all year round. This provides a much needed respite During our hot Gold Coast summers and fresh Winter mornings.
Our kennels are perfect for pets that are most affected by heat and cold. Temperature regulation can be paramount – especially for our Brachycephalic breeds like Bulldogs and Pugs!
Fully Enclosed, sound proofed kennels
Your pet will feel secure and safe with our fully enclosed, indoor kennel spaces – perfect for those used to sleeping indoors and a treat for those who sleep outdoors!
If your fur baby suffers from storm anxiety, our sound-proofed kennels are perfect! External noise is minimised, providing comfort at night time and during bad weather.
Individual Accommodation
All dogs are kenneled individually at Abbeyards. This ensures a comfortable nights sleep and a safe environment when our staff go home for the night! It also means we can closely monitor eating habits and leave their food down if they prefer to graze throughout the day.
Comforting Music
Music has been proven to relax our canine pals! That is why we have speakers throughout the kennels playing your pets some catchy tunes while they rest and when the staff have gone home for the night!
Bedding & Toys
Our guests are provided with freshly cleaned sling beds and a fleece blanket on top.
Your pets are welcome to bring along any other blankets, toys and t-shirts with home smell to make their stay at our Gold Coast boarding kennels more comfortable.

Biscuits
A wholesome meal for our dogs is so important. At abbeyards we serve only the best super premium biscuits. Loaded with Protein, Vitamins and Minerals, BlackHawk provides all the energy they need for their doggy holiday!
Home Cooked Meal Option
If biscuits just aren’t your pups cup of tea, you are welcome to opt for our meal upgrade. This is a home-cooked Chicken, Rice and Vegetable dish that is made fresh for your fussy pup!
This will be an additional $7 per day and can be requested to be added upon booking.
You can also request some additional toppers including Sardines, Tuna, Dog Roll or BlackHawk tinned food.

Complimentary Schmackos or Liver Treats are provided to our guests each day.

Bathtime
Hydrobath – Flea and Tick Rinse Included
For guests staying 2 nights or longer, a complimentary Hydrobath will be included. Our hydrobath is infused with Fido’s Flea and Tick rinse, to keep those pesky pests at bay and leave them smelling great! For lengthier stays, our pups receive a complimentary weekly hydrobath.
If you have just booked in for an overnight stay, they can still have a hydrobath the morning of check out at an additional fee of $10.
Brush and Spritz
Your dog will also get a brush and conditioning spray when you pick them up. This will make them look good and smell nice for the trip home.
Please note that we are unable to accept dogs in heat or dogs displaying aggressive behaviour for boarding at our facility. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all pets.

Whether your cats enjoy staying active or prefer to relax in the comfort of our air-conditioned cat accommodation, all your feline needs are catered for. Abbeyards boasts a fully equipped indoor cattery facility designed to ensure your cat is comfortable, secure and happy.
All of our guests have one-on-one play time with the staff which ensures a more personal experience for your cat. Our play area is packed full of scratching posts, toys and of course a couch for those extra cuddly kitties!
Rest your paws in style!
Fully air-conditioned facility
Both our Hi rise cat units and walk in units are air conditioned at 24 degrees throughout both summer and winter. This ensures that even if your fur baby is sensitive to the heat or cold, they will be comfortable all year round.
Individual Accommodation and Shared Walk-in Rooms are Available
For individual cats we offer a 4-story Hi Rise unit which allows your feline friend to jump between levels at their own leisure. They even have their own cubby hole attached!
We also offer large walk-in rooms built for 2-3 cats. These rooms include multiple levels with ramps for easy movement. With a cubby hole and a sling bed provided, there are lots of spots for cat naps!
Bedding & Toys
To ensure that our guests feel more at home, we provide soft blankets and bedding for them to snuggle into. You are welcome to bring your cats favourite blankets and toys along to help them settle in.
Cleanliness & Hygiene
Each morning, your cats accommodation will be deep cleaned to the highest of standards. This includes a full disinfect and wipe down, change of kitty litter and fresh water and biscuits for the day. Fresh bedding will also be provided as needed.

Breakfast & Lunch
Good nutrition is key for a happy and healthy kitty! That is why Abbeyards only serves super premium BlackHawk cat biscuits to it’s beloved guests. BlackHawk provides a complete and balanced diet containing all of the vitamins and minerals needed for your cat.
Dinner time!
Our pantry is stocked with a variety of wet food for dinner time. From Seafood to Beef – there is sure to be your cats favourite flavour on hand!
Fussy Felines & specialty Diets
If they are on a specialty diet or are simply fussy with food, you are more than welcome to bring along your own food from home. Just leave your feeding instructions at the desk and the staff will ensure their diet remains the same as it is at home.

Never boarded your pet before? Your furry best friend require medication? Our frequently asked questions section should put your mind at ease.
Absolutely none at all! We supply super premium dog food with a range of flavours & extras (for those super fussy babies!). You are more than welcome to bring their own food if you’d prefer.
Yes, they will be perfectly safe in our purpose built kennels. They are sound proof, fully aircon, have nightlights and also radio playing 24/7 so they won’t hear a thing! We also have an onsite manager, Emily, who will check on them.
We supply food and bedding so that is covered but feel free to bring whatever makes your animal comfortable. We recommend bringing a shirt (worn) to help them settle in. Bedding, toys, kongs, slow feeding bowls, medication etc is all fine! Keep in mind we have plenty of bowls here for your animals.
Yes! We have rooms to accommodate this, you can also chose to house seperately if you wish.
We encourage you to come down and have a look through our facilities, ask as many questions as you like and meet our team! We do have selected hours for inspections so check our Inspection Times.
Pricing
All prices for Gold Coast dog boarding and cat boarding are on a per day basis commencing on the day of arrival. Day of departure is not charged if pets are collected by 10:00am. Prices may increase from the 1st of February each year.

Your pets can still board at our Gold Coast pet
accommodation over these days, however there are no
pickups or drop offs during Christmas Day, Boxing Day,

Pick up / Delivery
We can pickup and deliver your pets anywhere in the Gold Coast region. Pickups will be between the hours of 6am-6:30am and delivery will be between the hours of 4:30pm-5:30pm.
Easter and Christmas Bookings
A $100 non-refundable deposit is to be paid to confirm bookings over these periods. This can be made over the phone.
Christmas Bookings
Peak Pricing: Normal Price + $10
The Christmas Peak Pricing is an extra $10 per day per dog or cat for any day in the peak period.
10 Day minimum booking
For any booking that has a day in the peak season a minimum of 10 days applies. Your stays can be longer but any shorter than 10 days stays will still be charged at 10 days.
Full payment required before the 1st of November.
Your total booking is due to be paid before the 1st of November to secure your spot. If it is not paid by the 1st of November your booking will be cancelled and made available to another person. We will attempt to contact you via email at the beginning of October to remind you so please make sure you receive our initial confirmation email as this is address we will use.
No refunds after the 1st of November.
After the 1st of November any money paid will not be refundable. This is to keep things fair as we will have had to say no to others who really wanted the booking.
Easter Bookings
